The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch is perfect for winter sports enthusiasts of all kinds! We offer a variety of ways to get out and enjoy the grandeur of the Ranch, from snowshoeing to snowmobiling and more. Take a guided tour through the winter landscape to a remote yurt, tube down a Wyoming hill, or experience some of our popular summer-time activities in a whole new way. Winter at the Lodge & Spa is a special time unlike any other, allowing for grand inspiration to revive and refresh while exploring the pristine, snow-covered landscape.

A trip to the authentic American West wouldn’t be complete without a horseback adventure, and when the ranch is covered in a blanket of snow, riding is truly a unique experience. We have over 50 miles of private trails and wide open range, as well as a 28,000 square-foot heated indoor arena to learn or refresh your skills.

Nordic skiing on the Ranch is spectacular, from cat-groomed double-track trails for traditional cross country and endless backcountry to explore. There is perhaps no better way to work off those grand feasts at the Trailhead Lodge than a few laps around the Nordic course at sunrise as the sun blankets the valley and the fog rises off frozen Brush Creek.

Snowshoeing on the Ranch offers a serene way to explore the quieter stretches of our extensive trail system. Guests can enjoy both guided and non-guided snowshoe trips on more than 50 miles of groomed and ungroomed trails. Our trails provide guests options from flat, low-intensity terrain to steep, ungroomed terrain. We have snowshoes in sizes to fit both children and adults so everyone may partake in the fun and explore the beauty of the ranch up close.

Ice fishing on the ranch becomes an option in late February and March as the rivers open up. You’ll experience the best ice fishing experience with our six stocked, private ponds. Rainbow and brown trout grow large in the still waters of our ponds and make for an exciting angling experience for all levels. Our guides have everything you need, including ice augers and shelters to make your time on the ice a comfortable experience you’ll never forget.

There are two spots on the Ranch for group sledding and tubing. We have a smaller hill for younger children, perfect for tubing and saucer-type sleds. We also offer a larger, more adventurous hill for those more seasoned. Both hills are groomed to make them smooth and enjoyable for our guests. Our guides normally transport guests to the sledding hills on a Polaris Ranger that is fitted with snow tracks. We have oversized, covered inner tubes with hand straps as well as a few different styles of personal sleds, plus a full range of helmets.

There is no better way to relax and rejuvenate after an invigorating day of winter activities than in the Trailhead Spa. Renew your mind and body with an array of massage, skin, and salon services that combine traditional spa techniques with indigenous Western touches, resulting in a spa experience that is as unique as the natural setting of the ranch itself. Enjoy our sauna and steam room, an outdoor hot tub, and state-of-the-art fitness center for complete relaxation and wellness.

The BCR Gun Club offers a 5-station skeet course and all-season rifle/pistol range. Our heated, covered open-air range building is a two-story facility that accommodates multiple shooters at a time for various rifle and pistol shooting situations. We also offer beginner programs on gun safety, responsibility, and comfort holding and firing a gun.

Enjoy a blissful yoga class in our traditional heated yoga yurt to relax and rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul. This gentle 45-60 minute class will calm your mind and stretch your sore muscles, offering the perfect way to prepare for or recover from your day of adventures at the Ranch.
